Co-op unfair charges?

Hi there
for the past few months me and my hubby have gone abit over on our joint account due to builders fees and all sorts. We have a healthy amount going in to the account each month of the payroll but because of my bad credit they won't give us an overdraft. While were in France at Easter we called and asked them to honour some things that were going to come out and we transfered some cash to cover it from another bank. Needless to say they didn't honour any of it and have charged us over £300 for various things, one of which was a direct debit that came out earlier than it had the month before. Others were cheques - under the charge of £35.
Can I claim any of this back?

You may well be able to do so. However, I'd recommend you spend a little time reading the FAQs - all the answers you need should be in there.

Hello - and a big welcome to the forums.

It seems from your questions that maybe you have not yet read through the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) which is an absolute must.

You are either about to start, or have already started, a legal process to recover funds from a large financial institution - do not do so lightly - even if the evidence suggests that it is an easy process.

Spend a day or two going through it, as this also contains the "Case Guidance Notes" and "Step-by-step" guides etc. You will find them invaluable, and you need to do this in order to grasp the implications of the task that lies ahead of you......

Once you have done this, if you still have any unanswered questions, then post them here and they will be resolved in no time....

Many people here could easily answer those questions, but it really is vital to do
some of the groundwork yourself. On the plus side, the benefits of a little hard work will hopefully result in a nice refund of those charges in the months ahead.
