Hi,
Just received both statements from the Co-Op and the return of the £10 cheques that I sent them. However what they have sent is not a normal statement. I am now a bit confused....
On the statement is states both Commission and a fees line, can I claim for both of these or just the fee???
I would like to get my first letter out today, so any help would be much appreciated. I have looked through the Co-Op forum but cant see this question??
Please help??
Thanks. |

| | Platinum Account Customer | Re: soniah v Co-Op well i'm wondering if there might be a money saving ploy going on here.
signs of something to come by all banks?
if they provide the list of charges & a total, they will, ofcourse, not include compounded interest [at whatever rate you wish to use]. hoping or assuming you do not think you are intitled to it. Thus it saves them money? under a smokescreen of 'oh aren't they nice, they gave me what i wanted without charging me!'
i would be inclinded to use their figure then add what you feel is correct interms of interest using vampiresses spreadsheet.
AFAIK you have nothing different there to what i claimed, bar, Daily Excess Charge?
up to you, but if it were me i'd return the cheque and say no give the full statements please.
though again, i have read somewhere that it is all they have to provide, just a list.
intersting thoughts, any takers care to add to this??

| | Basic Account Customer | Re: soniah v Co-Op this must be just a new thing as my nephew sent his S.A.R off sometime in december also and got a letter back with his charges all listed too and the £10 cheque returned he recieved this back yesterday!
I sent my S.A.R off the end of november and got my statements one day before the 40 days were due on the 9th January!
I think I'd agree with DX100UK and BURF that there hoping that you'll just go for the charges they have listed, But If it was me I'd wait till all the statements arrive! so you can go through them yourself, because the lists from the bank might not be the true list of charges!
good luck all |
