Welcome to our forum
Generally at this stage, and in my opinion, first class is just fine.
Just make sure that you have sent it to the correct address.
Good luck and keep us posted.

Lots of people send everything RD, but this is for their own peace of mind as much as anything else. You can get a free certificate of posting for any letter at the Post Office.

I sent mine recorded. It only costs £1 and that way you can be sure of all your dates and you have evidence of delivery so the bank cannot use delay tactics.

could someone please confirm the correct address. I thought it was: The Data Controller, Co-operative Bank, Level 2, Delf House, Southway, Skelmersdale, Lancs, WN8 6NY.

Is this correct?

Thanks for all the replies

Thanks for all the replies, I'll use the Balloon Street address. It's good to feel there are others out there and I'm not alone! I've got one stupid question - I can see coloured lines below messages which obviously show a schedule of how things are going - how do you do this? I said it was a stupid question!!

It took me a while to work it out!

I just added mine to my signature.

Go to 'user cp' and 'edit signature'

that should do it!

Hello, if you click on User CP at the top of the screen, then click on edit
signiture.

Write what you wish to say, (diary of events etc.)
Then you can alter the size of the letters, colours etc.

Once you have what you want, save it.

Good luck

Can someone tell me, does the 40 days mean 'working days' or just 40 days including weekends?

Thanks

Thanks for your reply Welshman. So by my reckoning, Subject Access Request letter posted 4 Nov, the 40 days are up around the 15th Dec.
I do notice that most claims seem to be for charges on current a/cs - I hope I'm doing the right thing in trying to get charges made on a loan a/c. As I explained in my introduction, this is all about commission charges interest charges and fees which made my daughter more and more overdrawn.

Well, I've had a good start! Went onto royal mail website to track RD letter sent 4/11 - no record of this being delivered. Have to wait till 22nd in case it gets delivered, if not then I can claim. Means I have to start all over again and send another cheque. Possibly my mistake was to use the PO Box address at Balloon Street. I will omit the PO box when I resend chq and letter.

Hello Memphis, has your cheque been cashed yet? Check with your bank first before resending.
I got my information back just as the 40 days were up

Hi Saxon. Checked with bank and chq was cashed 16/11, although according to Royal Mail no signature was received for the RD letter. Phoned Co-op to ask if they received letter but got nowhere. Just hope letter has been received by correct person. Do they usually send an acknowledgement letter or shall I just wait? It's a bit of a worry!
