Default Welshmans Mrs v Co-oP Bank

I'm in the middle of a claim against my Bank, and am going to help my other half with hers against th Co-oP but she's concerned about how many have had their overdrafts called in or had their accounts closed by the Co-oP.

Can anyone shed any light on it please?

No, it's because I hadn't read it that I posed the question.

They are a week into the 40 days for Data Protection. She quite likes banking with them and would prefer to stay there but she has opened a parachute account just in case.

Thanks for the response.

They are now just 5 days from the end of the 40 days and there's still no sign of the statements.

When they do eventually arrive, can someone tell me what the Co-oP call their charges please?

Received the statements this morning and there are several items there which I'd appreciate some help on

Service Charge ranging from £15 to £75.
Daily Excess Charge from £25 to £35 >>> I think Yes for this one
Unpaid at £25 and £26
Debit Interest
and a biggie Commission ranging from £30 to £175 a month

At the bottom of some of the statements, there are several Charge Totals for a four week period and Commission does not appear there.

Can someone give some guidance please?

Sorry, I don't know. I suspect that's why you haven't had an answer from anyone yet.

Best thing to do if no-one has answered by Monday is to call them (gasp, shock horror ) and ask. YO have a very basic right to know what you have been charged for.

Please post the results here it might help others.

Welshman,

don't know if you've had the answer to your question via pm but I would claim for the lot with a note of caution re the interest. Commision is what they charge for bouncing direct debits/chqs etc, service charge is for going over your od limit if you had one at all, daily excess charge speaks for itself as does unpaid. If you intend claiming the debit interest you will need to use the spreadsheet in the templates section to calculate which part of it you can claim, as its not usually much most people don't bother but thats up to you.

Thanks for that. I will not be bothering with the interest. But the news on the "commission" is marvellous.
