Default marcus v Co-Op

ive requested my statements from these guys they wrote back requesting £5. i sent off a cheque from my other account which thay cashed. 35 days later i rang them just to let them know that thay had only 5 more days to respond- they informed me that i they had requested £5 and they were still awaiting payment. Que lip bitting . but as i used a cheque it was completly tracable. they have since found the money but i still have no info on my charges. im thinking data protection act reporting, ill let you know what i do. if anyone has any suggestions please jump in.

If you request copy statements they will charge £5 per statement BUT if you ask for a Subject Access Request the most they can charge you is £10 for all of the information they hold on you. Have a read of the FAQs and study the process from the templates library.

Unhappy Re: marcus v Co-Op

We`ve had confirmation that they will send me all the info we requested for both accounts for the £5 ( for the lot, not per sheet) but they still havent arrived, even after giving them a 7 day extension. I've read the FAQ and i am going through the ombudsman first because i have a feeling they may well turn up late.

I have recived statements. yay. they were delivered tattered and opened. i phoned and complained only to be told it was not their fault. i asked if they could change my account number as they had berached the data protection act. no was the reply as no fraud had occured. not a happy bunny. ive spoken to the information commissioner help line and they have breached the data protection act. so ive put it all in writting and sent it off to the data controller. if they dont do something i will do the complaint thing. oh i also sent a seperate letter off asking for £1115 back in charges.
