Default Tamadus v Smile ***settled***

This is going to be my shortest thread

Sent a prelim letter to Smile on 1 October for £322.50 which got a standard reply that they would get back to me. As I actually find Smile one of the better banks I have ever dealt with, I didn't follow up until the 8 November when I sent an LBA.

Letter recieved this morning 15 November informing me they are crediting the full amount back into my account as a GOGW.

Absolutely no shouting, screaming or hair pulling. The slight delay of about 3 weeks was caused by me not sending the LBA earlier.

This may contradict other peoples experience, but I really do find Smile one of the more efficient and 'listening' banks.I'm wondering if all the extra funds paid in from other bank refunds had an effect lmao.

Quick result with the right ending, thank you Smile

Thanks Robbop it was only for a little over £300 but even so I was surprised how quickly they settled it, and no protestation of how they considered the charge lawful either. They still called it a GOGW lol

Do you get everywhere tamadus?! I never seem to stop congratulating you. Mind you, I totally agree with you about smile. Definitely the best one in every way in my experience. I actually feel as though I am treated as a human being with them.

What will you do with your time when you have claimed everything you can?

Take a well deserved holiday lol

Thanks caro Smile were always IMHO going to be an easy one to deal with as they have always seemed to me to be a much more caring organisation. phone them up and you get to speak to a real person not some brainwashed robot reading a script. I actually think they train their staff

I have a couple more that are proving to be really stubborn but I'm wearing them down slowly plus a couple I'm doing for family and friends so expect a few more posts yet

I think we have been hanging out in different forums lately, especially since you finished with A&L. One of the days I will get round to having a crack at egg (sorry) and will persuade my husband that I really can get his money back from Lloyds. He is waiting to see me finish with Yorkshire Bank before he finally gives me the go ahead.

Anyway, take care. I look forward to posting your next win. You can still do the survey even if I am deprived of the dubious pleasure of posting this claim in the litigation forum.

I just won a claim against A&L for my ex but unfortunately she needs the money so can't afford a donation. I need to make mine for smile though and will do it tonight. Surveys already done

I'll save my Abbey win just for you to post in litigation complete

Hey it's in the bag already, they filed a defence based on it being a bank account not an ERC, I could have their defence struck out now They also lied in their sworn defence by claiming I exceeded my overdraft level on several occassions. Not possible with a mortgage and I never had a bank account with them lmao. so when they pay up I'll mention that and ask if they would like me to report it to the court
