no longer have account number

we want to claim back any charges levied on our credit cards but this was a couple of years ago how do we find our old account?

Hi there. Just write to them with your name and address (or the one you had at the time) and ask for the account number. try not to let on why you need it or else they may well stall for time etc.

They will know why. They still have 40 days to comply with your data request (S.A.R.).

No, not if you just ask for the account number and don't mention anything about charges. For all they know, your accountant might need it, or perhaps the tax office?
