Smile Another preliminary repyment request for Capital One.

I have just done my preliminary letter for repayments, I had my statements already, and worked out they had charged me £560.00. I called them to cancel the payment protection on my account, and asked them about refunding my charges. They gave me the usual line, that i had signed an agreement to pay their charges etc, so i asked for an address to send my preliminary letter to.They gave me this address:

Executive Response,
Executive Office,
ERC Dept,
Capital One Bank Europe PLC,
P.O. Box 5281,
Nottingham,
NG2 3HX.

No doubt Robert Udy will be in touch with you very soon, to let you know that he has credited £60 to your account. Keep us informed of progress.

Re: Another preliminary repyment request for Capital One.

Hi all, just recieved a letter back from Capital One, from Mr Udy, no less. Usual stuff, i signed the credit agreement, and their fees are in line with other banks and institution etc. However as a matter of goodwill they will refund 2 fees back to my account, a total of £40.00.And then when i have brought my acount back to its correct limit, they will refund 1 more fee. How generous of them! So its time to get a letter before action out to them, i think. I will thank them, and accept the refunds, but state i will be issuing a claim for all of the money owed to me plus interest and costs. Here we go!

Smile Re:Capital One Have Agreed To Pay Up.

Hello everyone,
after sending a Letter Before Action, to Capital One, on the 10/05/06, i recieved a reply from Mr.Udy, saying that after reviewing my account, they would like to bring this matter to a close, by offering to refund all my charges £540.00.If i accept their offer i have to sign and return the setlement form, they have sent. I am pleased with this result, and will accept their offer, and as the form, only says i am accepting their offer, and no inclusions like keeping it secret and not take further action in the future, i am happy with that.I would like to thank everyone on this site, and the Adinisters of the site, for making this at all possible.A donation, will be made, as soon as i have the funds in my account. Many thanks.
