Â£10 Data Protection Act fee, can it be added to card?

Hi

I am sending off my Data Protection Act letter to Cap 1. I dont have a cheque, can i replace the sentence "I enclose the statutory £10 fee" to "You can add the statutory fee of £10 to my account"?

Ie. add it to my credit card rather than me have to send a postal order or cheque?

Hi Daisy

Try a quick phone call first requesting them. They charged me nothing.
If not then you could ask them to add it to your card. Make sure you do add to your letter that it is £10 only in total for all information, not £10 per page.
