Angry Someone elses statements....

Finally received statements......not mine although first name was correct. Called them, not really concerned. Told me to shred them, had bit of a laugh about it. Don't know how I'd feel if I knew someone had my personal details. Also told me my statements could take another 10 days .

Don't shred them!

This is serious and needs to be reported - if you still have them then read this thread:

someone else's account info!!

Am amazed to see your post. I too received someone else's statements last week (in amongst 2 pages of my own). Thing that worries me is who got the rest of my statements with all my personal details. I also rang and told them and was asked to shred them - which I am certainly not going to do (I think it may help my case). I received a letter today with my Data Protection Act requested statements and a letter of apology for sending the wrong statements in the first place. Am now about to send my next letter with the amount I want refunded and will also be mentioning how concerned I am at the lack of security over personal details.

Wink finally...

Finally received the correct statements, couldn't beleive the amount of charges. Over £360- on a £500 balance! Letter going off tomorrow. Still have the statements sent to me in error, deciding what to do. I know I would be annoyed if someone had my info. so know I should do something about it.

It is important that you decide quickly, as you have legal responsibility for them whilst they are in your possession.

Wink Re: Someone elses statements....

They recredited me with £60, then stuck another £40 charges on 'cause payment was late...... took claim along to court on Friday and they are so inefficient mentioned that it was being monitored by Bank Action Group, got them in a panic.. LOL when I finally receive details will post in the litigation section.

You won't be able to post in the Litigation section - when you have the details send them by PM to Bankfodder or Dave.

Capital 1 have made me an offer...Good but not good enough, £40- short. Have already credited me £60- Don't know why they just don't get on with it, such a waste of time. Sent them a letter stating that I would be happy to accept their offer but will be persuing the rest.....
