| | Basic Account Customer | worried about balance still owed to capital one **WON** we had to chop up our cap one card last year and now pay £10 a month. we finally got them to freeze interest but if i try to get all the charges and interest charges back will they demand all the money we still owe back straight away?
would like to try but worried about the money we owe them as we cant afford it.

| | Classic Account Customer | Re: worried about balance still owed It's extremely unlikely they'll demand all the money back. What they will do is (eventually) credit the charges back to your card account, so it may actually help both parties.
The total worse case scenario is that, after refunding all the charges, they pursue you vigorously for the debt - if you have already told them how much you can afford to pay them realistically each month (ie £10) then there's little they can do above and beyond that.

having the same worry as yourself. 3/1/05 £23 over my £200 limit 6/1/06 balance £555.86 intrest and charges frozen.payment plan spoken about but never enforced 4/8/06 still not paid.Prem/Lba both sent out for charges before 3/1/5 which i have paid plus the charges i havnt.( to been waived) so that i may continue to use may account.
Mon 14/8/06 will be court fee day.
i will keep you posted. |
