I sent it here

Capital One Card Services
PO Box 5281
Nottingham
NG2 3YJ

recorded delivery and they sent back an acknowledgement a few days later. They should pass it on but if you phone them as well they say they will order them so you get them 7 - 10 days.

Just be aware if you haven't sent it recorded, it could get to 40 days and deny all knowledge of recieving it.

as long as you have included the £10 statutory fee, it is up to them to forward it on to the correct dept. you have to send everything recorded delivery

did you send the £10 cheque?
if you did, i would just leave alone because , if the cheque is lodged that is enough proof that they received the request.
if you haven't sent a cheque, then i would redo the whole thing and send it recorded to the correct address

Libby like bigaid said if you can track the postal order and can see it has been cashed then thats ok. If you have sent a postal order that has not been cashed, you have no track or trace through Royal Mail and you get no response from Capital One within a week then I would be inclined to phone them and find out if they have recieved it. If they haven't your going to have to send another payment and see if you can get the original one back somehow (not sure how it works with postal orders).

I phoned Capital One a few days after I sent the request to chase them up and a guy said he could not see anything on the system and would order statements and they would be with me within 7 - 10 days, so you could try that as well.

In future send everything recorded.

Regards
