Default Result...well sort of.

Hi all,my card is only has a £200 limit yet i owe them £798,UNBELIEVEBLE AS IT SEEMS!!!
Capital one recently said they were going to default my account,so i phoned them up and explaind that i dispute the amount i owe(very unlawfull fees were my words) so they couldnt default me after a repetetive conversation they said they want it in writing, which i did.About 14 days later i recived a letter saying as a matter of good will id like to reduce the fees weve added to your account to £12.So i can do these refunds totaling £216.I havnt signed it yet because im still thinking about it.What do people on here think? At least its some kind of result.
Any advice is welcome....thanks

I think they're full of sh!t. It's not "good will" at all, they have been FORCED to lower their charges to £12. And now, they're trying to railroad you into thinking they're doing you a favour? Grrr.

I suggest you have a god read of the FAQs and step-bystep, and read other people's stories here, so you know what you're dealing with, then go after them for a 100% refund of those charges.

Keep us posted.

PS: Can you please keep your updates on the one thread, it will make life easier for everyone, including you. Thanks.
