Red face Beckett V Capital One (Starting)

OK, so i have trawled through the online statements since Xmas and they have poached £60.00 from my account. I wrote to them recorded delivery to ask for it back of course. Still awaiting an answer....

However, i thought i would email them through the messaging service and ask them for a list of charges imposed.

The reply

From:Sent:Tue 11 Jul 06Subject:Fees/Charges

Thank you for contacting us to request a list of all charges and for letting us know that you intend to reclaim all charges levied.

I've passed your message onto our relevant department and they'll reply to you by secure message within the next two weeks.

I'm sorry that I can't give you an immediate answer.

If you need any other help, please call us on our freephone number, 0800 952 5150. We're here 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

So whilst Capital One have 2 weeks to reply to my letter, i should have all the information ready. Nothing like knocking off a bit of time and grabbing the big guns straight away.

I will let you know the progress. Its a £200.00 limit card and they have more than made that out of me in charges alone.

I will close my card, dont like Indian Call Centres much anyway.

well i never, 2 x £20.00 has been refunded today, I did ask for 3 x £20.00 but i await their reasoning and will go after them for the remaining £20.00 plus anything taken on the statements i am yet to receive, but couldnt view online.

they seem to have backed down easy!!

I concur, Cap 1 previously refunded a £20 charge, therefore I must say they settled at stage 1,i.e. just credited the account without a letter of confirmation.

Please mark as settled.

I'll add the 5% to a larger claim!!
