They sent me a 'list of charges', which, to be fair, was all I asked for...

This bunch were the 1st I took on, and my wording wasn't quite perfect at that time. It is now, and I'm raring to get stuck in to the rest!

Posted my LBA yesterday and surprise surprise got 2 letters from Cap 1 this morning.
One from Nicola Shaw saying we'll look into your account but it will take 4 weeks and maybe longer and the other offering me £281 as a full and final settlement of my claim for £761.
So I will be writing to them today to tell them no thanks I would really like it all.

Good man! And remember to keep to YOUR time schedule - don't let them set their own. You have given absolutely reasonable amounts of time to respond, and a judge will recognise that.

Today I received a letter from Mr Udy saying he cant increase his offer and its his final response in relation to this matter.
So therefore he must consider it to be closed.
Oh no Mr Udy its just the beginning, Moneyclaim will be filed this weekend so that Cap 1 will have it served on them next week.
I feel sure they will want to reopen talks again very soon.

Just about to do my moneyclaim and not sure what to put in the particulars of claim.
There was something in the library as I used it for my claim against NatWest but it seems to have been changed, is this ok to use.
Thanks all

I'VE WON

I have just received a letter offering me a full settlement.
I had to laugh though as Cap 1 say it is clear that you have no claim against Cap 1.
Whilst we do not accept liability for the claim we are going to pay you anyway.
They go on to say that they will continue to make their charges and if I am not happy with it then I should consider closing my account.
They want to refund the money into my account but I will be asking for a cheque.
I will also be closing the account in a couple of weeks and just want to know if Cap 1 have given an early settlement discount to anyone as I intend to ask for one.
I want to thank everyone who has advised me on this brilliant site and say to those who are still fighting for their money to keep going YOU WILL WIN.
Can a mod please change the title to WON and I will be making a donation as soon as the cheque arrives its worth every penny.
Thanks again everyone and if I can help just ask.

Great news Eddie!! Well done! Good feeling, huh?!

I opened a new account with a 0% interest credit card and moved all the money in to that. That was a pretty good feeling too!
