Default Capital One - Someone elses statements!
Hi All! I have just got around to going through my statements from Capital One and have found some pages of someone elses statements along with them. Any thoughts as to what my initial approach to them should be? Thanks

This is an EXTREMELY serious breach of the Data Protection Act. Firstly I would (if you can) send the statements to the original owner, and explain that they were forwarded to you by Crapital One in error. You could if you wished direct them to this site for information about their rights under The Act and how to complain.

Secondly I would contact the Data Protection Officer at Crapital One and complain bitterly about how disgusted you are with their Data Protection Procedures, and demanding to know if they've sent your statements to anyone else. Forward a copy of your letter to the Information Commissioner.
