Question Adams x 2 v's capital one OFFER RECEIVED HELP!

OH got a letter this am offering £163 bsasically saying that he signed the contract etc so knew the t&c's and they are refunding the £8 difference of their charge and £12... so not too sure whatto do now as oh has a second interview withthem on monday so might wait to see what happens there - if he doesn't get the post the LBA will be sent straight away. OH is claiming £358 - so do people normally accept here or go on to the LBA and to court before C1 give in?

Strange i didn't get a letter as we sent them off at the same time.

LBA is going off today for my account with capital one - I think we are going to accept the offer on OH's account just waiting to hear about his job.

I would strongly suggest you do not accept the offer on OH account - it is less than 50% of the amount you are claiming - that really takes the mickey.

Do not accept anything less than an unconditional offer of 100% settlement.

i understand what you are saying but if he gets the job at capital one and then takes them to court he will be finished in his probationary period if you see what I mean - thats why we will wait to hear if he gets the job or not - if he gets it accept it and be quiet if not then LBA and court action here we come!!!

How about:

Quote:
Dear Mr Banker

Thank you for your offer of £xxx.xx as part settlement of my claim.

Your offer is not satisfactory, although I am prepared to accept this sum, unconditionally, in part-settlement of my FULL claim of £yyy.yy.

I shall continue to proceed with my action to recover the remainder of my claim.

Hi I Am At The Almost Same Stage As You. Got My "capitol 1 Will Be Defending The Claim" The Day Before. Can I Ask You, Have You Sent In Your List Of Charges To Money Claim Yet Or Do You Wait Until You Are Asked For It?

Good Luck

Just to let you know sent 2 copies of my list in to Northampton. 6 days later recieved offer of full amount to stop the court case from Capital 1.

Don't know whether it was because I had sent the lists.
