| | Site Team | Re: Protest Against Unfair Bank Charges- 1 December 2006- Central London I finally feel a bit human again. Seems others have long since beaten me to giving their accounts of the day so that saves me worrying thanks guys. I can't believe that Joa and McUth got on line last night. Particularly McUth TBH cos I thought he might have trouble finding his train, let alone string a sentence together on here. I had to laugh at his comment that he felt he had spoken to a god after I introduced him to BankFodder. I kinda understand but to see him as a deity might be going a bit far lol.
I stayed over and had quite an adventure after the pub closed in the quest for more alcohol. Gizmo111 was asking very large burly bouncers what allowed places to charge a fiver to get in for a drink and threatening to set AlanfromDerby on them who was still wearing his CAG t-shirt. We managed to get her away in one piece. Then came the Indian restaurant with something quite large and with several legs crawling up the wall and then the journey back to the hotel. Never try to get a taxi at 2.00 on a Saturday morning in London. Suffice to say I think we got back to the hotel about 3.30 am!! I heard bird song just before we got back anyway.
Got home at 2.30 today and slept for about 5 hours. Hi to everyone I met yesterday, Michael, Joa, Nurseslayer, Glenn, Allixia, Nona, Lula, Paul Shieber, Morgan, Crashbandicoot etc and thanks to those I didn't get to speak to for the support too. Special thanks to AlanfromDerby for being a perfect gentleman and making sure Gizmo and I got safely back to our hotel. I hope you all enjoyed it and felt the effort was worthwhile.
I wouldn't have missed it for the world, although I shall be glad when my feet finally stop aching!
And for those who are interested, I think there will be no more discussion as to my gender

Fancy having a Scottish name and not being Scottish. Whatever next...

I agree Vamp that it is definitely McUth and I had a similar conversation with him. I think these conversations might give those that didn't make it a little in-sight into the events of the evening. We tried to behave in front of the cameras, although they were only interested in filming my back. I don't know if they were worried I would crack the lens or were just showing my CAG t-shirt off with my user name on the back.
I think you are outnumbered Michael and will have to change your name because you'll never be M Cuth to the rest of us on CAG.

It was great putting faces and masks to names, the stories Dave told about getting the site running during a.... rather bad time... I think our point was made. Great meeting everyone before they got smashed and retaining a respectable image of them and taking that home with me ( I left early! ) some faces, eyes, looks and smiles ( & hugs) I'll never forget Good day, and thanks without you guys & gals the site wouldn't exist..... on with the show...... |

We all noticed you wearing your very fetching name badge showing your avatar. I realise now I must have sounded very rude saying "Who are you?" to everyone I met. Really glad that you were there to fly the flag, and to meet you too.
I knew I'd miss some names off the list.:o

| | Platinum Account Customer | Re: Protest Against Unfair Bank Charges- 1 December 2006- Central London Noooooooooooooo, so unfair! What's this, pick on me night just cos you know I'm going to be awake for at least another couple of hours watching the Ashes? Hmmmmmmph! The roots of my surname might go all the way back to a little clan in the lowlands - but as far as I can tell, there's been no Scottish blood in my family for hundreds of years Quote:

I only done did it cos I've used that for ages now. BTW, I could never change my surname (never mind changing it to a Scottish version, lol) - there's only me & a cousin that could carry on my branch of the family name! Quote:

I forgot to mention the new avatar. I actually rather like it and think you should keep it. Having met Michael I can confirm that he is not at all camp and his family name is probably safe in his hands. I should add hastily before anyone jumps (bad choice of word but can't think of another at the moment) to any conclusions that this is based on observation and not personal experience.
I am trying to back you up here Michael but am a bit concerned that I might live to regret this post.
