just had a note from cahoot today that there is another charge going to be added on the 6th dec. Will this ever stop???
Anyway, i sent them an email straight away, saying that i have now started court proceedings and the amount owed is in dispute. And i would be grateful if they could not add any more charges until this issue is resolved.
Hope i've done the right thing

Jellybabe. I did the same when a charge was levied on my account during the court proceedings: I emailed them and they agreed to reverse the carge.

I tried this with cahoot but to no avail, all they said was that they are unable to stop the charges. They seem to be vry bad at lying to customers.

well, in that case i will just have to start a new claim after this one is finished.Or if possible only come to settlement on this one if all the charges will be added to the settlement figure.
I'll just have to wait and see unfortunately.
thanks for your reply

ok, am nervous about this one. It's my biggest fish to fry.
Sent the claim forms to court and cheque for claim fee has now been banked and cleared.
I wonder how long it takes for them to receive everything of court and then to respond?

I received my defence well within the 28 days, although the deadline for AQ submission is today and I haven't heard anymore since.

By reading the Abbey threads and other ones on here, it seems Abbey wait right until the last minute to settle, causing the claimant all the hassle of having to submit a court bundle and prepare for court. With the courts so busy, I anticipate this will be the longest claim to settle of mine, despite it being the first submitted!

yep you need to print three copies - one for you, one for cahoot and one for the court and number each page. It's a bit of a job (which i have to look forward) but it'l be worth it in the end!

right, just doing the bundle. I have to include the statements showing the charges. I am a bit stuck now i think. Only had a printout of Cahoot about 21 pages long showing everything that went in and out my account over the last few years!Do i include the whole 21 pages in my bundle??Or do i just find the pages where i have some charges showing and include them.

I was just wondering the same thing myself as all I have is a print out, like you.

I think what I'll do is just include the pages where charges have been applied.

There's so much to print off isn't there?!

Good luck and keep us posted!

No reply at all to my email and more charges are to be added.Been charged £25 yesterday, and another £30 odd to go on on the 6th dec.
Will i just add them to my claim when they offer settlement? Or do i have to start all over again?

I don't think you can add them on at this stage. Either try to add them on when they settle with you, or start aother claim once this one has succeeded. What a pain in the arse eh?

i know!Tell me about it!
I just can't understand why they still fight like that. They know they not gonna get through with it, and they could save a lot of money by just paying out in the first instance. And still now they charge you even though you put a claim in.

looks like i've got to claim again once this one is settled.
Just had a reply of cahoot:
Quote:
Dear jellybabe,

Thank you for your recent e-mail. Lee has recently left the company, I’ve been asked to respond to you on his behalf.
I appreciate the points you’ve raised in relation to taking cahoot to court to reclaim your bank charges. I regret that whilst your claim is being processed we are unable to prevent further charges from debiting your accounts. Under the circumstances it would be best if you brought your accounts within their agreed limits which would stop any further charges being debited.

Yours sincerely,

David Freeman,
cahoot Service Relationship Manager.
