I used the Abbey National Address, but if they are asking you to send the papers to that address then I would do so.

anyone got any advice about the following:
I am interested in claiming the higher rate of interest. i am about to do mcol tomorrow morning, but haven't mentioned the higher interest in my lba or any letter before that.
Can i still claim the higher interest when i file my claim tomorrow?Or is it better to just go for my normal interest rate and the 8%?

I am not sure what the higher rate of interest is that you are talking about. I claimed for the 8% because it is the rate set by the court.

yes, but a few others have claimed the higher rate of interest instead of the 8% as explained in the following thread:
A New Way of Looking at Interest- 1st successful Claim - N'wide.
It states that you can claim the alternative amount of interest at the rate that the bank charges you instead of the 8%. you can only claim that or the other if i understand it right.for example if the bank charges you....say,29.8%...you should be able to claim that or an alternative lower percentage. All at the discretion of the judge.
And believe me, it could make quite a difference to a claim.

Wow, that would be nice! I would happily give it a go, either Cahoot will go to court and someone will finally get thier day in court or they will give you the whole lot. I'd be happy to give it a go if I had not already done my moneyclaim thing.

Right, i decided to wait with my moneyclaim and send them a revised lba stating that i will claim the contractual rate of interest. The only problem is.....unauthorised overdraft is 21.9 %, and CC is 13.8%. As i had them both combined in my claim, i am not quite sure no more what to do??
Do i just find the middle??Let's say 16% for both??
Heeeeeelp please

Personally I think to change horses in midstream like this is not a good idea.

Either continue with the claim as is and claim s69 8% or split into a claim for each a/c and re-send the LBA claiming the appropiate contractual rate for each

yeah, i had the feeling that it wouldn't look very good.
I think to keep things running smoothly, it's best to just keep it as it is.
ie. claiming just the 8% when i file. Ok, it would make a difference with my current account, as that would change my claim to about £240 less than with contractual rate.
But hey, i am glad that i can get some at all.
Decision made.......mcol as soon as my cheque from my argos card claim has cleared.
thanks again
