Red face Papaparkin Vs Cahoot

Better get all up to speed, have gone through stages 1 and 2. I am claiming £945.00 plus £136.43 Interest from Cahoot (£1,081.43) on my now closed current account.

I got the usual letters from Abbey saying we're looking into your query etc. etc. but nothing received so I filed claim on MCOL for £1,081.43 on 01/04/07 (7QZ 41311), was acknowledged on 13/04/07 and now received the standard defence document from Abbey today (25/04/07). I guess I just have to wait for the court to send me through more information?

It's all terribly exciting!

Default Re: Papaparkin Vs Cahoot

received my Transfer of Proceedings from Northampton County Court today.

The Judge has ordered that the filing of an allocation questionnaire be dispensed with in this case unless the District Judge at the court of transfer orders otherwise.

So it's a case of sitting tight and waiting to hear from my County Court for a date and/or order for an AQ to be made (hopefully not though)

Keeping my fingers crossed

Hello, I need some help here, I got my court date set for the end of June. In the meantime I am due to move house, so what should I do? Redirect my mail and attend court (assuming it gets that far) in June or tell parties that I am moving and get a new re-allocation of court to my new area?

Hope someone can answer this for me. Thanks in advance.

Hello, again, Just posted off my Court bundle for my court date on 27th June (cut it a bit fine I know). I haven't received anything from Abbey since the Defence document... the deadline for submitting documents to the Court is tomorrow. From another thread I was looking at, Abbey stated that if people are receiving defence documents then their cases will be going to court. Not having found my full original T&Cs and also not holding a current account with Cahoot anymore and if Abbey are relying on their T&C's they would need to forward these onto the court (and me as well) as well as any other documents that they are going to rely on....? Or are the citations within the defence document sufficient for the court to make a decision?

Starting to get a teenie bit nervous now! Stupid Banks!

Well. I phoned the court today, and they haven't received any documents from Cahoot (Abbey), I have also phoned Abbey, and was met with a recorded message saying they aren't taking any calls on Friday 22nd June, please leave a message and we will contact you on Monday 25th June..... do you think they are a bit behind? So left a message with my contact number in case they feel the need to call me, but it looks like i'm off to court on Wednesday, better get out my smart whistle, keep your fingers crossed for me!

Thumbs up Re: Papaparkin Vs Cahoot **SETTLED**

Well that was nice! I called Abbey up this morning, to see if they were going to turn up at court tomorrow then they offered to settle, after much umming and arring the settled for £1,060.00 (this covers all my costs and charges but no interest). I know I could've held out for more but I lost my nerve (sorry!)

Thank-you for all the help, this site has been a god-send, long may it continue and good luck to everyone else on here, you know they will pay up in the end!
