Thank you so much for that Karnevil.........I'll send it off this afternoon.

As far as sending the schedule of charges to the court, who at the court should I be sending it to. Is there a particular job title that I should address it to?

Ok, update....

Sent letter to the courts with my schedule of charges (because I couldn't attach it with the MCOL) and I sent a letter to Cahoot to tell them about my claim.

Checked MCOL today and Cahoot have acknowledged my claim. Therefore if it was deemed served on the 15th September, they have until the 12th/13th October to file a defence.

Once Cahoot had acknowledged my claim, I sent an email to the person at DLA who signed the acknowledgement. In the email, I attached a schedule of charges along with my bank account number and sort code, just in case they decide to mess me around and claim that they don't know which one it is.

Got the following reply the next day:
Dear Mr B,

Thank you for forwarding the details of your claim together with the
account and sort code.

Kind regards

They've got no excuses now!

I've now got a defence from Cahoot. Looks pretty standard to me.

Also have my Allocation Questionaire from the court and have been assigned to Central London County Court.

How much does it cost to file the AQ? My claim is for just under £1500.

I think AQ always costs £100, irrespective of the amount.

i don't know.I had my AQ from a different claim coming through the other day with a covering letter saying:
You must complete the enclosed AQ on or before the 23 October 2006 and return it, where the claim is over £1500, the court fee of £100 to........
To me it sounds like if the amount claimed is under £1500, the AQ is free.
At least i hope so......sent mine off this morning without fee.

Actually that rings a bell!

I remember reading that for lower claims you don't pay, as I remember thinking ah yes, at least I won't have to worry about that one!

My AQ went in on 31st October (the last day before the deadline). Haven't heard anything from them yet. If I don't hear anything before the weekend then I'll ask in the court on Monday when I hand in my NatWest AQ.

How's yours going? Anyone else out there - how long did it take from when you handed in your AQ before you heard anything?

Well, still no news on this one. Haven't heard anything since I handed in my AQ on 31st October. Cahoot filed theirs on 5th November (5 days late) but that's all I know.

Is there anyone else out there at Central London County Court? Are they just snowed under?
