Notice of Default

I have today recieved a Notice of Default on a Charge. Is this recorded as a default on a credit file?

If you don't comply with the notice then yes it is recorded as a default on your credit file. The default notice should set out the nature of the default and give you a period of time to remedy the breach.

Ok, I spoke to them. This is acutally a default of Sum which is not the same as a default on a credit file. This is some policy tightining so they will now send a default of sums notice.
