Hi all,
I have been lurking for a while now and felt that it was time to start my own thread
I initially entered in a claim against Cahoot back in April (my claim is for just over £800) initially I received the standard rebuttal letters from Cahoot and then after much correspondence I received their offer of £30. I responded and told them that I wouldn't be accepting their offer of £30 and that I was going to proceed through the courts.
I registered the case with Money Claim and paid my fee. My claim was issued on 24/07/07 and Cahoot was given until 12/08/07 to respond. They responded on 02/08/07 with an acknowledgment of service saying that they intended to defend all of the claim, they were given 28 days to file a defence.
On 07/08/07 I received what appears to be a standard letter informing me that Cahoot has become involved in legal proceedings with the OFT and that they believe the outcome of this case will resolve all issues surrounding my case.
I then received a letter enclosing a copy of their defence dated 21/08/07. Their defence is basically the test case. I have been expecting to receive more information but I have heard nothing more so far. Is this normal? Am I missing something or should I have taken some action?
I would really appreciate any help or advise that anyone can give me.
Many thanks
Serena
