It is a long way from anywhere, our nearest mororway is the M5, 2 hours away.

Boom BOOM!!!

Actually, in the early days, and a long time ago, Dave suggested a Mods meet (before the Pinkies were created, don't feel ignored now!) at his French secondary residence... Anyway, things got in the way, and we ended up on Hampstead Heath instead.

You know, it's just not quite the same...

I suppose I can find the way there, all the way from Essex. Actually I have an aunt who lives in St Austel so would be ideal to combine a visit to her as well. (I've never been to Cornwall is it very far).

Put it this way.
Its further to drive to my mate's house in Scotland than it is to drive from Calais to the French Med coast.

It's about 350 miles from Essex (depending on which part of Essex/Cornwall you are in)

If this comes off, it might be better for you to fly down. Ryanair do Stansted to Newquay every day. Takes 45 minutes and costs about £45 return.

It's quite a good service too.
There are flights to most cities, Manchester, Leeds, Cardiff....

I should probably mention that last time I used that service, Newquay was so fogbound the pilot had to abort the landing at 100ft and we ended up in Exeter

I'll try and come down.

Probably best to avoid the summer holiday period as the Eden Project will be packed
