Manc is certainly up North as far as I'm concerned.
Stoke & Brum are in the Midlands.
I think 'Down south' is anywhere from Banbury and down!

Down south is definitely south of Watford, because I have always been north of there.

Mancs is up a bit of Watford and Brum a bit more.

Stoke appears to be somewhere over there, but not at the centre of things. We've sorted that bit earlier.

Warwick has a market and 2 train stations. Market day is Saturday. Also has a very nice park within view of Warwick Castle and lots of eating (and drinking) places. Park often has music on Sunday afternoons, although obviously that isn't ideal if we go on to make a night of it and have work on Monday.

Fantastic Indian restaurant, very reasonable which is not licensed but you can take in your own booze so cheap night out.

Pick a night when the castle has music and fireworks and you see and hear it all for free from the park.

Peterborough is nice at this time of year.
It has direct rail links to London/Scotlandshire/Brum/Yorks/Lancs/Stansted Airport.
It is also connected to a 4-lane motorway [A1(M)].

This looks good. Day after St Albans meet. Queen - A Rock and Symphonic Spectacular at Warwick Castle for Summer 2008

BTW, I'm not suggesting we pay to go to the castle but we'd hear very well from the park and there would be lots of people there also listening for free. The castle is a good day out with lots to see, but expensive so I don't suggest we necessarily do that.

I've just checked his calculations and it looks like he forgot to carry the 1. Therefore, I conclude that Stoke is the centre of the universe.

That's because I am a potter: The Potteries Urban Area - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Anyhooo when and where is this meet? I'm lost between if we're meeting at a market, a pub, all crashing at my place, or following Caro's suggestion of listening to HRH Elizabeth II, Queen Regnant of the Commonwealth Realms rockin' it out on the guitar in one of her castles.
