Was supposed to be working but think I have covered it,so another name for the list.
Only 20 minutes down the lancs for me but will come on the train which is about the same and avoids the traffic.
Any firm plans on the pubs yet ?

That's great news Martin, the general consensus with the pubs is just to keep away from the young & trendy bars, there's absolutely shed loads to do in every which direction from the meeting place at M&S.

I'd rather have somewhere without music blaring, but that's me, I prefer to talk with people without straining my voice or ears!

Marie, have you not been out on a Saturday for a while?
Its almost impossible to avoid music in a busy town and especially city centre on a Saturday night.
St.Helens has 38 town centre bars/pubs and all of them have music on Sat night.
My suspicion is that you have been tipped off that You and Caroline have been nominated to sing if theres Karaoke on.
We thought of the re-released George Michael song Cagless Whispers........
