| DSAR Problem with Barclays business accounts ... Hi,
I have sent a DSAR request for Barclays business accounts. (Limited accounts) The 40 days will be up shortly so I called them to discover that the DSAR request under the DP Act 1999 is not applicable with business accounts. Hence my probable delay. Is there another letter out there for business claims maybe? some advice please? |

| Re: DSAR Problem with Barclays business accounts ... Hi Papadak and welcome to the Barclays forum.
Did you read this before you started your claim - A guide to Business Claims
The bank is right - an Subject Access Request covers personal data and is not suitable for a Ltd Co. I assume you, or an accountant, have retained bank statements which would give you this information.
If for some reason you don't have access to them, you may still be able to get them from the bank as a Director/Secretary but it may cost you more than the usual Subject Access Request £10 charge. |

| Re: DSAR Problem with Barclays business accounts ... I've heard before that they want £3 per state't but you'd need to ask Cust'r Svs for proper info.
Do you have no state's then ? |

| Problems retrieving Barclays statements via DSAR request ...HELP! Dear all,
I am having major problems obtaining Barclays statements via a standard DSAR request. i.e. I send my request by RD (and the RM website confirms receipt) and have yet to receive my statements. I have 3 requests out there and they have gone past the 40 day allowance. I have not had this situation before and wondered whether anyone else is experiencing the same probs ... Also I have never had to report anyone to the Information Commisioner as yet.
Are Barclays playing hard-ball? |

| Re: Problems retrieving Barclays statements via DSAR request ...HELP! You need to now send the non compliance letter. Data Protection Act - Non-Compliance - Template Letters
This gives them a further 7 days to send them out to you before you file at court. (All info here if it comes to that) |

| Re: Problems retrieving Barclays statements via DSAR request ...HELP! Hi Papadak,
Please stick to one thread per issue so we can keep track of your case properly. I'll get the threads merged for you.
Your thread from last month referred to this being a Ltd Co a/c. After the OFT High Court ruling last month, current advice is that you will no longer be able to reclaim Business a/c charges as they were NOT deemed to be penalty charges. |
