Default Speedtouch 456 v6 and easyphp

Hi Folks.

A rather unusual post for CAG

I have a technical issue with my router.

I am trying to get the apache installation with the programme easyphp to be seen by public viewers.

I can view it using 127.0.0.1 but not through my Ip address.

I have tried configureing Dynamic IP adress's and adding port 80 to the firewall. I even Tried turning off my firewall. This dose not work.

Any ideas?

Does the router have an inbuilt firewall that is inadvertantly switched on? I have the same kind of problem with a NAS drive. My internal network sees it, but anybody else can...

(port forwarding doesn't help me, but it might help the OP.. thanks MrShed)

Almost certainly without a doubt port forwarding. But couple of quick questions:
- Can you access it from another PC on your network(if you have one)?
- Do you have a static IP address, range of statics, dynamic, or DDNS?

The router has an inbuilt firewall with options to disable it or to enable the settings.

This is strange because I have the option to select the webserver setting which enable the port 80's on the router. This is preconfigured in a dropdown box in the firewall settings.

A logical deduction from that would be the setting enables this function so other could access easphp from the web. I.e incoming port 80.

Have you set that setting to the private IP address of the webserver?

Regarding the static ETC, how are you trying to view the webserver externally in IE/Firefox? What web address are you going to?

I will have a look when I get back home.
I am at my Mams at the moment its my birthday and im here for lunch.(this is not a birthday present by the way)

From the top of my head.

I am trying to view my webserver from the networks external IP address. Ie the one XLN assigns me. And I am using Firefox to view the standard port 80. I even tried viewing port 8080 and 80 with the colon sign before it in firefox.

I have also added both of these to the Router.

I have even made sure that the settings in my apache are configured to port 80 which they are.

any thoughts?
