Default Virgin media and its "Flawed" billing system

I was wondering if anyone has experienced this with Virgin,I was away over the Easter Holiday from Saturday morning until Monday afternoon,on my return I found that I had a letter delivered on the Saturday for an outstanding amount owing so the say, (the amount was wrong in the first place). This letter was dated 18th.March 2008 and arrived on the 22nd Mrch 2008,it stated that if not paid within 5 DAYS I could have my sevices restricted.guess what low and behold they were restricted, what I would like to know is how can this company get away with all this from a system that is totally useless,I mean all the monetry systems are run on a 5 WORKING DAY system,in this instance there was a bank holiday friday then a saturday and sunday followed by another bank holiday on the monday.....all of these were ignored plus the fact that they send letters out that are not 1st calss and if the postal service was not so pathetic they should have other means ,I mean in the past they used to ring up and warn you if there was going to be aby restiction put on giving you plenty of warning ..........but it appears that Virgin Media have lost the plot and have also lost the means of COMMUNICATING with its customers exept to fleece their customers bank accounts. Needless to say I have sent a strong letter of complaint both to Virgin Media and OFCOM and also it really annoys me to get these maill shots addressing me as a VALUED CUSTOMER. More like a dimwit for putting up with them. Customer Service ......someone needs to spell it out to them the meaning of it,then they are so dimwitted it would not be understood.Incidently as soon as I could the due amount was paid at the local newsagents as soon as it opened on Tuesday morning 7.09 am to be precise,I got my services back on the Wednsday mid morning , though they state it could take UPTO 24 hours.......If there were spare connections for a BT connection I would have told them to shove it but as there are none at the moment I have to wait as soon as I hear of one it's BYE VIRGIN MEDIA.
