Default Needing big advice!

Can anyone tell me,I have been haulled in over B/F and after seeking a brief to go with me ,he told them we was not staying On my return home after years off struggling to pay my mortgage and having lots of debt due to trying to manage, I now find [beggars belief] they have been paying money to the mortgage, now the B/S say I cannot get the money back and return it to the DWP or whoever owns it ,but I have £11,000 not my money I have nothing in writing telling me about this and the BS insists they should inform me regular due to interest rate. I asked if I had signed anything and she said the DWP or whoever have just been re submitting the paperwork and that I should be getting regular information about it from the DWP How will I stand with this IAm worried sick and thought that the money I got was including my mortgage I had to find it
Basically I was on INCAP but then came off it and went onto IS this seems to be were trouble started. I used to get money from them which I paid to the B/S but now find the money I have been recieving does not include mortagage at all and the DWP has been paying the interest element direct, but I have no paperwork
Is it up to me or the DWP to get the money back from the DWP! and if it is up to me how would I go about it
Sorry my head it all over the place with it and lack of a few days sleep did not help

Misty please clarify- you've been hauled into the DWP over B/F= benefit fraud?

And the DWP have been paying your mortgage interest? And they want to reclaim the money from your building society?

Is this all right? If not, tell me where I've got the wrong end of the stick so I can help.
