Unhappy Over payment demands- notice of proceedings
I have been given notice of proceedings for overpayment of child tax credit.
Looking through all my paperwork, its a bit of a mess.
Not sure if I owe £4700 or £8000 as have demands for both amounts for same year!.
I have not contacted tax credits and don't know where to start.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreaciated.
I find it hard to believe that I owe that much since I am the only person that works, my partner is a carer for my disabled daughter.

MM, first of all we should check whether you have been overpaid. How much did you receive in the time period in question, and what were your circumstances, including any changes?
