At least you got them to close the case. And doesn't your son start a new school in September?

Yea, and they even ran a summer school at the beginning of the 6wks hols which he attended, made a good impression and apparently some good friends, just hope he continues as he has started and can put everything else behind him. However what he has learnt at primary school is beyond me as his spelling & maths not even his times table does he know, my mother said I will have to go back to basics with him, I am going to see if I can get him assessed and get him a mentor. However had I know that the schools ofstead report found faults with the schools teaching methods and even recognised that the children end up behind as a result I would never have sent him there to begin with. He scored average in his SAT'S though his ability to spell the simplest of words including three letter words and not even know his times tables at his age is beyond me.
