Unhappy Post Office error has led to suspension of benefits

Help!

My post has been delivered, regularly, for several years to the other house in our area with the same name but different postcode. This hasn't been a massive problem till recently when someone somewhere has amended the postcode database used by Barclays, HMRC etc to only include the other house, not mine.

This has meant that letters concerning benefits have been returned undelivered by the owner of that property who is deeply fed up with the situation. Same has happened with Barclays, the utility companies etc. This has now resulted in the suspension of my WFTC, and undue financial hardship (again).

I have tried with each organisation to get their system to override the incorrect postcode but each time it gets reverted to the other postcode. HMRC always had the right postcode until recently, and no doubt now the whole system has the wrong postcode for tax, NI etc etc.

Can anyone help? I have spoken to Royal Mail who say their database is correct. So, who on earth are these guys buying their software from that has the wrong postcode in? How can I get it amended if it isn't the Royal Mail database at fault?

Thanks

Is your postcode CA? (And maybe CA17?)
