Default Medical review cut me off!

Hi,
I have a bad back and have been claiming incapacity benefit. My GP filled out the MED4 form but I was still sent to a medical review. That doctor said I am fit for work and I have had my claim stopped. I was also getting a small amount of Income Support which has also been stopped.
Because I live with my girlfriend (who is heavily pregnent) it was a joint claim and now we are getting nothing!!!
My back is terrible - I can hardly bend and walking anything more than short distances is agony.
If I appeal what will happen? Will it take them ages to restart my money?
Thanks for your help.

In simple form: APPEAL!

The DWP sign so many people back to work, that is both mentally and physically unfit, in a hope to just balance its books, its happened for years.

Job Centres tell you to claim Sickness, and vice-versa, its because each department dont want you as a statistic on its books, it is in the opinion that "Telling" you, you are fit for work, that you simply go and do just that, and don't bother appealing.

Your girlfriend is curently pregnant, surely doing vigorous activity isn't going to help your back

also ask for a Freedom of Information Act report from atos origon with the written report from their doctors so you can take this report to your doctor who may already have a specialist report concerning your back but in essence you really need a specialist report and some xrays to prove your claim,so an apeal is in order but also your data from atos is and should always be requested if you have a doctors report from the dwp on dwp form then you really need the atos doctors written report to see if any of the points have been manipulated as is usual for the dwp to do this very often ,,they cannot refuse you this data but may try to fob you off with they do not have it or it was destroyed atos keep all written reports for ten years
