Default Dissability Living Allowance Claimants.. Attention....

Only 47% of Disability Living Allowance claims succeed, according to the Department for Work and Pensions' (DWP) own statistics. And many people who do get an award may be getting a lower rate than they are legally entitled to.

I will be sending an email for a Freedom of information act request for screen shots of the training computer system. This is the DWP software staff use for assessing DLA claimants.

...and 54 % of DLA appeals succeed at tribunal.

Comment : Glasgow Disability Benefits Centre: improving the experience of customers
According to the authors of the above paper, the DWP decided to address the overall 50% success rate for appeals. The high number of appeals won by DLA claimants has long been a source of embarrassment to the DWP. This is particularly the case as the 50% figure includes paper hearings, which have a low success rate, whilst at oral hearings the figure is nearer to 60% finding in favour of claimants.

Besides, the stuff will be copyrighted, so you can't post it all. It's ok to post small quotes and attribute them, but you can't paste the whole thing without authorisation from the originating site. Better to post links.
