Unhappy We need help

Hi

We are a family of 4 (2 adults 2 kids). My partner has to finish work because I am not very well and can't look after the children on my own. I am currently receiving disability allowance, and also awaiting a decision on a claim for disability allowance for my youngest child.

We have been told that if my partner leaves his job, then we are not able to claim any benefits for a while.

However, for the welfare of the family, my partner has to be at home now.

Can anyone help me here? Is this true? Would they leave us without any monies when we have children?

*we are receiving ctc/dla/child ben @ the mo, we rent our property*

Please help cos our family is falling apart and we are sinking further into debt as it is.

Thanks

Hi dizzydeedee,

I think the best thing to do would be to contact them to see what you would be entitled to.
I know that when my Hubby left his job ( this was quite a few years ago and things might have changed now) we were on reduced payments for a few weeks,as far as I remember we got money for the children (4) and myself,as I said could all be different now.

There is also a website you could go on called Entitled to I have seen links to this on a few threads,do an advanced search and you should be able to find it.

Sorry can't be anymore help
