Default Bicycle question

Morning dear CAG addicts.

Yesterday I took delivery of a new bike. It is the bomb... but unless I get to know the answer to the following question, tis going to be a beautiful ornament. Regards to Hotukdeals and Quidco......

First things first, I was horrified to realise I had to put this thing together myself! BUT I did it! I is ever so proud of me pmsl.

All the neccessary tools were included - so with a bit of patience and Mr Percy Verance I got there. Problem is the main chassis and back wheel were already assembled, and the brake pads are gripping the wheel... now I'm not a total demic and have worked out what I need to do.. but that tool is not included, the swines! The front brake pads also need a slight re-alignment.....

If I'm ever to kick start my intended health kick I need to know what this tool is... tis probably in that manual thingimijig, but in an attempt of laziness does anyone know what I need? (looks like it will be an alan key, octaganal?) I've tried the ones I have and they don't fit. Why couldn't they just put that tool in as well?

I'm going away for a couple of days, so won't be needing it - but hopefully I will know when I return! I only got the thing to exercise my dodgy foot, and to help SSL coming down every couple of weeks to help me do my shopping!

Again...the bike is seriously sexy... I'm in love with it... got it for £88 over 20 weeks...made up!
