Sorry!!

My wife has ben taken into hospital tonight with what would appear to be a stroke.

She's 43 years old. We have a 3 year old son.

The hospital are telling me f-all

I had to come home cos the neighbours kept an eye on little one but I couldn't expect them to stay all night.

I'm just looking around for things to do till the phone rings

Probably best to let it out anyway RP. Your wife's age will surely help her make a full recovery. Keep us posted when you have a chance, but you obviously know what and who are important now. Try and rest because you'll need to keep strong for your family.

The reaction is perfectly normal and nothing to be ashamed of.
If we weren't both blokes you could have a hug with pleasure, but people might start to talk.
Keep your chin up, mate. Modern medicine can work wonders and hopefully she'll soon be making a recovery. It will take time. It's a slow process, but plenty of TLC will certainly help.
My best wishes to all three of you. Please let us know how she's getting on.

I'm going to bed but I don't know why.

I want to stay up but I know that little one will need me in the morning.

I want to go to sleep but I know that the hospital might need me if she takes a turn for the worse.

I'm being paranoid. She'll be fine for the next six hours
