Default HFO phone calls

Hi everybody

This is my first post so I hope it makes sense.

I keep getting phone calls from a company called HFO in regard to a debt I have with 3G. I have not received anything from them in writing even though I have requested this several times when they have rung. I have since told their representative that when I receive written confirmation of the debt that I will then address the situation and not before.

Was this the best thing to do, and if not what should I do next?

Hi Slaphead,

You might be waiting a very long time to receive a original signed copy of your Consumer Credit Agreement as according to Mr. Atkinson, a Director of HFO Services Limited, HFO is a debt factoring company and therefore do not have to supply a CCA.

However, things might be a little different with regards to mobile ohone companies in that you might not have signed a Consumer Credit Agreement.

Contact the Consumer Credit Counselling Service on 0800 1381111, and one of their advisors will be definitely able to help you.

Do not acknowledge the debt and do not offer to make any payment. If you need to find out what this company is like, then read the HFO threads - they will turn your hair white (assuming that you're not bald or that your hair isn't already white).
