On the surface I agree that this happens.
You start hitting problems though when you dig into the reasons for the corruption in the first place. Not the surface reasons and matters of specific individuals or organisations, but the deeper reasons; ie - if debt based banking did not exist then how would 'growth' be achieved - matters in relation to the very system itself at a philosophical level. It's basic nature. Something can't come from nothing, yet for growth to occur something does have to come from nothing. Most people feel envy when comparing themselves to the ultra rich, but at least the everyday person can develop close friendships without the risk of everyone they meet having a financial ulterior motive. Also would you really want the responsibility of that level of money. Think of Midas. Riches can actually be a person's undoing, whereas true wealth is more a frame of mind.
Everything 'worldly' is going to be based on a Lie at some level.
Having said that I'd be the first to use such insight to my advantage should it ever be in my interest to do so.
It might be interesting for you to read Orwell's 1984.
