| | Gold Account Customer | Re: Tigs33 v Barclays Letter to be sent to Barclays tomorrow
_________________________ _________________________ ____ Thank you for your letter dated 27th August 2006. I note your comments regarding your attempted justification of your charges. £30 for clearing a transaction which, for you, is an automated process and requires no manual intervention is excessive in the extreme, and does not reflect the banks costs for this action. Just because they are listed in your terms and conditions does not make them lawful. I would be more than happy to go to court, in order to find out how you justify your charges. I will accept your offer of £300 as PART payment ONLY and I will continue to pursue you for the remaining of my claim which totals £675. Failure to refund these charges to me IN FULL by 4th September 2006 will leave me with no alternative than to pursue my whole claim, including interest, through the courts

I note your comments regarding your attempted justification of your charges, however I still disagree. £30 for clearing a transaction which, for you, is mainly an automated process and requires very little manual intervention is excessive in the extreme, and in my opinion does not reflect the banks costs for this action.
