Hiya,

From other threads I've found that you need to ring 0207 116 5634, quote your claim number & ask who is dealing with your case. Then politely ask if they would like to settle out of court.

Don't accept anything less that you have been asking for, including your daily interest, so have an up to date figure to hand when you call.

Good luck with it, I'm just waiting for my court date to be confirmed then I'll be straight on the phone to them!

Also, remember not to agree to a confidentiality clause, just cross it out on the agreement form they send you before you sign it and return it to them. Then you can let us all know how you've got on!

Fingers crossed for you...

Just a quick addition to this.

Wait for a week or so AFTER you've been given your court date. The court document may well have gone to the wrong department of Barclays, so you have to give them the opportunity to relay it through their system.

I had my court date about 10 days ago, so I'm ringing them this afternoon. Remember, the longer you leave it, the more you'll get!

My court date was the 21st of Feb. They rang me yesterday. Up until then they had fobbed me off on the phone saying someone will call me so I would'nt rely on them speaking to you yet. But Its worth a try a few have managed to settle earlier.
