OK, where do I start. Right so I took a barclay card out in April 2005 with a limit of £260

Simple, easy just to beable to build up credit and have a lil extra whilst in Uni ... that didn't last long

. I had the card, used it, made the first payments on time every month, then finally £2 over the limit, and BAM £50 in charges. Had to be cleared by due date, THEN another £25 charge, paid off about £40, then that was it, it just spiralled into an absolute mess. Today, after never ever ever using the card again, the card now stands at £877.43 with 3 registered defaults against me on that one account

. I've only spent £260 of it

. Thing is, i've actually spent more trying to pay it off that I would have actually cleared the amount that I spent

It amazes me when they call me and tell me, please don't use the card any more .. i'm thinking to myself, are these people for real

I'm stuck because I don't believe I should pay £ £600 in charges which they are defaulting me for. I accept and take responsibilty with the card but the charges, I can't accept that
