Default StevieB vs Bcard

I am trying to claim my charges back from barclaycard. I requested statements and after a long argument they agreed to back down on the microfiche stand and provide me with all statements. I have just received the package, but they have omitted the first 3 and last 8 statements. I know there would be charges on these. Should I estimate them and let them prove me wrong, or continue the battle with them to get all of the statements?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Default Re: StevieB vs Bcard

I had the same problem on another card - would suggest you call them to find out where the missing statements are - ask to speak to Adrian Whalley in the Data Protection Team (with a bit of persistence even the Indian call centre will eventually put you through to him). Depending on the answer, work out your "average" monthly charge and apply that to the missing months (you could take your worse month and use that - it will really scare them especially if you are including contractual interest on teh claims!!)- then do you prelim based on the estimate (clearly stating in the letter you have been forced to make an estimate due to their non-compliance, and even though it may not speed up the settlement process it will hurry themup in producing the statements.
