Sent My D.p.a. On 2nd May 06 Had A Letter Back On The 16th ??????????

Quote: " Barclaycard Has Agreed To Accept A Settlement Of Your Current Outstanding Debt" And We've Got Five Days To Ring The Number Where "a Negotiator Is Waiting To Help You Now"

Very Strange!!!!!! Or Just A Co-incidence??????

Nevertheless I'm Still Awaiting My Statements To Tally Up

Somewhat strange, maybe they have confused themselves with the Data Protection Act request, and took it to mean refund request?

They are a little busy at the moment, poor souls

I would just await the details of charges and then proceed with Prelim Letter. If they really are keen to settle, they can do so at that stage.

Question Re: Barclaycard----D.P.A-S.A.R Return

am now in receipt of my d.p.a plus the s.a.r (which i didn't ask for)and like most others on this forum they can only supply me with statements up to 2004 the rest at a cost of £3. per statement
seems to be the norm for barclaycard!!!
can anyone help i've got late fees and exceeded limit fees but most of my account is made up of two interest charges one standard balance interest and the other cash balance interest more than the minimum amount i was paying so have no hope of paying off this debt! can i claim for any of the interest incurred or is this legal???? would be most grateful for some advise.
saying that though haven't heard from them since the previous letters nor paid anything in!!!

Have a look in the Bank Templates Library for letters regarding non-compliance with Data Protection Act requests. Looks like you'll have to go down that route to get the info you need.

Interest is a very difficult one I'm afraid. You could certainly claim for any interest that was added solely because of charges, but working it out is easier said than done.
