S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) sent to Barclayd cayrd 17/09/06

Reply recieved, WITH statements 28/10/06

Problem: they oly go as far back as 2004 and no further. Something to do with microphiche storage blah blah an bank charges only being introduced to thses accounts in 2001.

So they say that all the info I require is on the statements they have sent. Hmmm
I forgot I had archived a lot of statements when I moved hose and so the dig began last night. Found a few and still looking.

Current total stands @ £260

Do "exceeded limit charges" (£20 a pop) also count as I will be doint the spread sheet later?

And is it the same (spreadsheet) as it is for the banks.
i may need help with getting the charges totted up and so on so if any ideas please post

Ta

Guys

Got the staments from Barclaycard.

Worked out the interest using Vampiresses spreadsheets which came to £320
Did not put any interest on the charges (used the basic form without the ineterest calculator)

Have read all the step by steps which say NOT to claim interest until the LBA.
Did I get it right here?

I may be asking stupid question here but need to make sure so that I don't mess it up.....

Look forward to hearing from you

Bugger sent the letter this morning with a breakdown of the interest (8%) added. Total came to £372.11 )52.11 squid interest.

I had been sitting on it a while and had gone through all the forums looking for info. Got to the SH from Vampiress and it said "throughout the claim with interest".

Buggered it up there. I hope it doesn't get me in trouble

So far as I am aware, you can only add statutory interest at court stage, however contractural interest is added from the first request.

Hi guys

Some news on this one.
Got a letter 03/11/06 stating the usual I have seen on this thread.

Basically here it goes:

"Putting the above to one side, as a goodwill gesture and without admission of liability, I am prepared to credit your account with the difference between the charges that you have incurred and the £12 fee recommended by the OFT. this would amount to £128"

The usual blurb goes on.

It seems that most have accepted this as a partial offer and gone on to purssue the rest. I'm seething here as they not only pushed me into debt but added a default to boot on my name.

What next, I hear you say? Read a little and prepare for the next stage to claim the rest.

Please point out anything I may need to get to grips with for this claim...

1/2 down, 3 3/12 to go.
