Default Gave Barclaycard 7 days..1st reply...

Hi,

Wrote to Barclaycard on 19th March giving them 7 days to refund £200 on my account and £180 on my husband.

Hubby had a reply back 3 days later...

"I am looking into your concerns and will let you have a response or update as quickly as i can but no later than 20th April, blah blah, enclosed a leaflet"

Tomorrow is D-Day for them, they have not repaid as requested so I will be on MCOL in the morning. Will keep you posted.

Anna

Default Asked for refund £180, they paid £90 without telling me after they got court letter

Hi there,

I gave Barclaycard 7 days to repay my charges of £200 and hubbies charges of £180. They did not reply within 7 days so I started claim with MCOL. They acknowledged the claims the day after receiving them (yesterday), I just checked our accounts online and they have refunded £90 on hubby's card! they didnt even write to me.

I bet tomorrow or soon after I will have £100 deducted from mine. It seems from what I have read on this site that they are offering 50%. What do I do now?
I issued the claim in full + interest at 8% + court fee, so I am keen to get the full amount back. Do I write and thank them or wait till they file/not file a defence so I can start the next stage??

Thanks

Had similar 50% offer from my bank today ( in anticipation of OFT Statement?). Defence has to be filed by them in very few days after they acknowledged. Wrote back reiterating claim for refund in full plus 8% Apr or see them in court. They are bluffing Iam not!!
