Question GS vs Barclaycard

Already in the process of claiming against NWBS.

So next on my list is Barclaycard.

however after reading through the forum I have a few questions that seem to from my reading get various answers. Can someone please clarify a few points:

1. Will I get all 6 years statements if I send a letter plus £10?
2. If not can I get a copy of statements from Microfiche? And do I have to pay extra?
3. Will they instantly close my account as I currently have £1600+ outstanding on my card?
4. If i can only get two/three years statements can I automatically estimate the charges for the outstanding years by a simple pro-rata system?

Sorry for all the questions but I like to have my ducks in line before blasting them with a big shotgun.

Thanks in advance.

Well... bearing in mind this is Barclaycard, my OPINION would be:

1. No. You'll get a load of bull**** about Microfiche.
2. No. The £10 is SUPPOSED to cover this but Barclaycard run their own rules.
3. No. (but get another card at the ready to transfer all funds to)
4. That's what I'm doing... Let them prove otherwise in court. You'll probably find they can suddenly provide the statements if you over extimate!

Have a read of the other threads - Barclaycard can be read like a book - they do the same to every single one of us.

DON'T GIVE UP!!! The only reason Barclaycard are so obtrusive is that it is worth their time.. Lots of people run scared at the mention of court, or cave in at 50% offers. Stay in for the duration and you'll get it all.

I have just turned down their initial offer and started proceedings.

Abbey - 547.00 settled in full.
Second claim: £204 WON.
Barclaycard - 142.88 incl interest due WON BY DEFAULT as they didn't even bother entering a defence. Barclaycard paid up £184.88.

MBNA - Concluded £634.31
Capital One Concluded £148
Kinda disappointed I've no more banks to go after now...
