Default CCA requests hit rate ????

Hi Guy's

just wondering how many people have requested a CCA and got a true and signed copy back from barclaycard and how many have got back
unenforcable paperwork

I would love to collate the figures on this by date of request and date account started just so we can find out when BC bought a shreader and when they cut the plug off

add your dates below and i'll drop them into an excel sheet and produce regular updates

Admin's......any chance of a sticky ????

Hi BB,

I've moved this to the BC forum for you.

This problem is far less black and white than we'd like because PROVING a CCA reply is NOT an enforceable agreement, and getting BC to accept this, is a lengthy process.

If this proves to be suitably popular, I'll see if the Team agrees to Sticky it.

Hi there - when it became obvious that I couldn't afford to keep paying for 3 Barclaycards I have, which I haven't used for over 13 months now, I stopped paying. I got the usual letters and harrassing phone calls.

I decided to send them 3 CCA requests with individual postal orders sigend for on delivery on 24th November this year. I received nothing back from them and when the 12+2 had passed I send 3 Failure to respond to my legal request letters all signed for on delivery. These went out on 16th of December.

I still get 8 to 10 calls a day on my mobile and the home phone but still nothing through in the post!

Is this of interest?

Hi Bungleboy,

I am sure my Barclaycard is over 20 years old. I requested the cca on 11th November and just before Christmas I received the Barclaycard current terms and conditions. Have yet to reply to them.

I think this would be a good idea for all cards if possible. At least it would indicate whether the companies are likely to have the originals or not.

Happy New Year.

You won't believe this, but amongst the New Year texts this morning from family I had a Barclaycard text as well!!! On New years day!

I am just amazed. I will start my own thread on my barclaycard experience so far, but they haven't replied to my CCA from November, so I am unsure if I should write to them again or not.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi
I think this is good idea, I had three credit cards with barclays, one was originally with the woolwich but barclays now own this.
No 1(previously woolwich), upon requesting the CCA they replied they had no records and wrote the debt off(as simply as that)
No 2 eventually they sent me a letter stating I had zero credit, zero owing and zero interest my next payment was due the 8th and would be zero.
No 3 they fought very hard, but I am a tough cookie, it is now at court 'stayed' because they could not find a reasonable arguement.
To summarise 3 credit cards with no enforceable CCA.
I am at the moment recovering from flu and will provide you with dates etc later on
Good luck
Gill5blue
ps. see my signature if it helps you

Hi G5B - its the not getting anything that is frustrating. I need to find a good letter to send them.

I have been out all day, but I will have a look around and start a thread of my own tonight or tomorrow now.

Can I ask what letters you sent them?

Regards BN
